Susie and Stuart’s Christmas Wedding

“We were looking for a special venue to get married in, with about 40 guests. Imagine our delight when we discovered that the Woburn Coffee House had obtained their licence to host Weddings! We were in the Woburn Hotel at the time we found this information, and were both so enthusiastic that we went across the road immediately to find out more. Karen, the venue’s fabulous owner, was very busy at front of house but could not have been more helpful and charming, despite the fact that we had just called in unexpectedly with excited questions!
We were smitten, and thus began the planning process for our wedding, which eventually took place in December 2018. I understand that we were the second couple to get married there – but such was the flawless planning and execution of the day, you would have thought they’d been doing it for many years. This was also greatly due to Karen’s experience, expertise and patience and excellent, cheerful and attentive staff, but also due to the professional, knowledgeable and charming presence of Ian – whom Karen had just taken on as a General Manager at the Coffee House. Ian brought a wealth of relevant experience with him to his role and was effortlessly in control of proceedings on the day, ensuring that everything was in its place and flowed perfectly. I say effortlessly – that understates the amount of hard work that all the staff put in to make our special day so pleasant and memorable. Our guests were hugely complimentary and loved our Wedding and the Coffee House. They were also able to recommend a photographer, florist, cake expert and wine merchant as part of her repertoire of expertise, all of whom did us proud and were very much in keeping with the high-class ethos of her business. The cost of the Wedding was affordable, the food was excellent, service second to none and the venue itself is just beautiful. We could not have chosen a better experience or a better venue to get married in.”
